Annual influenza vaccination is recommended to provide protection from the predominant circulating influenza strains. The lack of flu circulating since the winter of 2019 means less natural immunity in the community. The WHO monitors influenza illnesses and recommends the strains for the influenza season.

This year 4 brands of influenza vaccines are available FREE for those who meet the funded eligibility criteria OR through private purchase. Cost of flu vaccination (administered by our doctor daily including Saturdays): $40 nett

Influenza immunisation is recommended and offered FREE from 1 April:

1/ People age 65 and older

2/ People aged under 65 years with certain medical conditions eg asthma, cardiac, diabetes
