Travel Clinic North Shore

Our clinic is the only dedicated travel clinic on Auckland's North Shore.  Our aim is to prepare you for safe and healthy travel.

The medical director is Dr Anwar Hoosen (qualified in 1984 - South Africa) and he has extensive experience in the fields of travel, tropical and emergency medicine. He has previously worked with Worldwise Travellers Health and Vaccination Centers NZ, Travel Doctor New Zealand, Travellers Medical and Vaccination Centers Australia and co-founded Travel Doctor Africa. He also has a special interest in emergency care and repatriation medicine, currently working part time in Accident & Medical clinics and worked for International SOS. He is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine, the Australasian College of  Tropical and Travel Medicine and a foundation member of the South African Society of Travel Medicine.

He recently diagnosed the first case of 'monkey' malaria (p.knowlesi) in a NZ traveller returning from Asia.

Location

Our clinic is located in the Apollo Centre for Health and Wellness - New Zealand’s largest primary health care facility with over 60 medical and allied health professionals. 

We are at 119 Apollo Drive (corner of Rosedale Road and Apollo Drive), Albany , Auckland. We are above the café, take the steps and we are on the right. There is adequate free parking on site.

From the city, take the Upper Harbour Highway exit , right into Constellation Drive, and left into Apollo Drive.

From up north, take the Upper Harbour Highway exit, left into Constellation Drive, and left into Apollo Drive.
